VIVES – Elien De Smet

Elien De Smet holds a Bachelor of Educational Sciences in Primary Education from VIVES University of Applied Sciences and completed a Master’s degree in Pedagogy and Educational Sciences at Ghent University in 2025. Throughout her studies, she built experience in designing and improving learning environments, supporting diverse learner groups, and translating educational research into practice. She further strengthened her expertise at the Flemish Education Council, where she examined how educational research and classroom practice can be better aligned. Elien currently works as a guest lecturer in early childhood teacher education at VIVES and as a project staff member at TASC.
