Scoala Gimnaziala 30 – Mirela Scorțescu

Mirela Scorțescu has been a primary school teacher for 26 years. For 14 years she was teaching in Step-by-Step education and from 2012 she has been teaching in primary school education at Scoala Gimnaziala Nr. 30 Timisoara. She is also school adviser coordinating extracurricular activities of the school. From 2012 is school-based teacher educator (SBTE) for pre-service and in-service primary school teachers. Mirela is university practicum coordinator for Primary and Preschool Education Pedagogy (PIPP) students at West University of Timisoara. As Ph.D. student at Educational Sciences Department, Faculty of Sociology and Psychology, from the West University of Timisoara, Romania is interested in initial teacher training and school-based teaching practice.  

She has been involved in eTwinning and KA2 projects. The BeHAVEBEHAVior management models across Europe (2017 – 2020) project, was a K2 Erasmus+ project, whose purpose was to fill the gaps in accurate and systematic training of teachers and educational staff on the topic of Social Emotional Behavior Difficulties (SEBD), particularly in primary school.
